Thanks for the stuffing and 80's flashback
This past week, I made the trek up north to spend Thanksgiving with mi amor.
First item to do was karaoke Wednesday night. After a bit of cajoling, I got Dana to go up and belt out Pat Benetar's "Love Is A Battlefield". Then there was our stalker for the evening, I prefer to call him Skeezy McSketch-a-lot who just kept sitting by us for a good part of the evening.
Thursday we went to Dana's parents house to have dinner with them and her grandmother and her friend Jess. That was really fun. It was nice having someplace to go on Thanksgiving. Lord knows I've resorted to the Swanson Thanksgiving more than a couple times in the past couple of years.
Friday was spent trying to find an outfit suitable for that evening shenanigans.....wait for it....JOAN JETT!!! Woooooo!! We went to Clifton Park, NY and saw her perform with The Blackhearts. It was super cool, and she played a good combination of her old stuff that everyone knows and some of the newer songs like "Fetish" and "A.C.D.C."
Saturday and Sunday we just laying around days, doing a whole lotta nuthin', which is just the way I like it sometimes!! It's nice to get a break from the "big city" once in a while and return to a bit of country living. Although, any place with my soulmate is just fine in my book. :)

One Day More!!!
So goes the triumphant battle song that ends Act I of "Les Miserables". But this post is not about the French Revolution (Dry your eyes, it'll be OK. There's a time and a place for a French Revolution blog and this is neither the time nor the place).
This post is about the fact that in one more day I will be heading up to the Northern climes of upstate NY to see Miss D after an almost 3 week hiatus!! YAY!!! :)
Until next time, faithful reader(s), control the pet population, have your pet spayed or neutered.

Meh. 6 more days.
And in the immortal words of 80's powerband Loverboy:
Everybody's working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody's goin' off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance, oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on baby lets go
Mmmm, yeah. Sexy tight leather pants. Rawr!!!

Update!!!
Yes, faithful reader(s)...Seriously what do I have, 1 maybe 2 readers?! ;) Blah, whateva. Time for an update from the crazy life of Mademoiselle Jenn.
Last, last weekend was Halloween time so mi amor came down and fun times ensued.
Saturday we went to see Evil Dead: The Musical...entertaining yes, silly yes and according to the boards it's pretty darn popular so get your tickets if you like campy horror movie spoofs.
Sunday we went to Cabaret Macabre and despite having crappy seats and only being able to see the dancers from their torsos up, it was pretty cool.
Then there was some asshole on the train, but we won't get into that. As I was saying to my boss at lunch today, NYC seems to have it's very own breed of asshole that I seem to run into at least every other day here!
On Monday we went to go see David Colbert and Petra DeLuca in the stage production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". Dana had never seen the stage production, and this was only the second time for me and it was fabulous!! David was actually one of our first Hedwig's at the first shadowcast of the movie that we did way back last December (I can't believe our anniversary show is fast approaching!!).
After that, we raced to Grand Central Station to get Dana on the train home so we wouldn't have to wait for another hour for the next train to come. We made it with 5 minutes to spare!!
Now I unfortunately have to wait 10 more days to see my love. :( Until the next time I decide to update this thing.
Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
